Using the Faucet

Here's a tutorial on how to claim Sepolia Ethereum test coins from Alchemy:

1. Preparation

• Ensure you have an Ethereum wallet, like MetaMask, for receiving and storing the test coins.

• Install and set up MetaMask or another compatible wallet extension/app.

2. Connect to the Sepolia Network

• Open MetaMask or your chosen wallet and click on the network selector.

• Select "Custom RPC" and enter the following information for the Sepolia network:

  • Network Name: Sepolia

  • New RPC URL: https://rpc.sepolia.dev

  • Chain ID: 11155111

  • Currency Symbol: ETH

  • Block Explorer URL (optional): https://sepolia.etherscan.io

• Save and connect.

3. Visit Alchemy's Sepolia Faucet

• In your browser, go to the Alchemy Sepolia Ethereum Faucet link.

4. Claim Test Coins

• Once the page loads, you will see an input box asking for your wallet address. This address is obtained from the wallet you set up in step 1.

• Enter your wallet address and click the “Send me ETH” button.

• You may be asked to complete a captcha to verify that you are not a bot.

• After verification, the test coins will be sent to your wallet address.

5. Verify Receipt

• Return to your wallet to check if you have received the test coins.

• It may take a few minutes, as the test network can sometimes be slow.
